NEWLY MERGED PASSION DISTRIBUTION AND MINT SCARE BUYERS DOWN UNDER!
17th December, 2012 - Nine Network Australia is the latest broadcaster to renew the Mentorn Media produced successful returning series ‘World’s Scariest…’, closing a deal on Season Two this week. Other territories that have picked up Season Two after successfully running Season One are: Latin America (Turner), Germany (N24), Belgium (VTM), India (AETN), Thailand (Truecorp), Italy (Sky), Denmark (TV2), Norway (TV2), Sweden and Finland (TV4), and Discovery in the US who picked up one episode ‘World’s Scariest Animal Attacks’. The series is an original production for Five in the UK. Acting Head of Sales Rebecca Nicholls said “We are delighted to have closed this deal with Nine Network, who were in at the very beginning on ‘World’s Scariest’. The series is compulsive viewing – as shown by the ratings it has delivered for our broadcasters, and all credit goes to the producers for making such gripping TV. It’s great to see how many broadcasters have returned to pick up Season Two. They are able to use as one hour specials/an event in the schedules or schedule as a weekly series now with 12 x 60’ hours available (Seasons 1-3). ” As previously announced, Season 3 is already in production and Passion Distribution will be pre-selling the series with offers already on the table for the show which will deliver in April 2013.
